October ushers in crisp weather and the Long Island Fall Festival to the Five Harbors area. The festival takes place at Heckscher Park which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The land was passed from a trust set up by the late philanthropist August Heckscher and his wife Nannie Heckscher to the Town of Huntington in 1954. Held on 25 beautiful acres it is one of the largest festivals in the Northeast hosting thousands of visitors from across Long Island and the Tri-State area. 

The festival offers live entertainment on multiple stages, a fun filled carnival as well as international food courts, a beer and wine tent and a farmer’s market. There will be plenty of activities and rides for children, workshops and contests for all ages and over 300 vendors offering arts, crafts and much more.

The festival runs from October 8th-11th beginning Friday evening from 5pm – 10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 9pm and Monday from 11am – 5pm. All entertainment is free and features well-known local talent as well as multi- cultural music from around the world.
