Oktoberfest on Long Island 🍻

Oktoberfest! Late September through early October is known as Oktoberfest. Traditionally celebrated in Munich but it is celebrated in places all over the world including Long Island!

Oktoberfest trivia:

  • Originated as a wedding celebration

  • While it is associated with beer, there are traditional Bavarian customs included in this fall celebration including:

    •  wearing lederhosen!

    • music- polka or folk bands

    • food- sauerkraut, pretzels, schnitzel, sausages!
