The Best Local Coffee Shops on Long Island's North Shore - Huntington Area

Its always a good day to stop by this cheerful bakery with ample delicacies whether it be monster cookies, brownies, cupcakes, scones, breads, or a beloved blondie. Blondies serves Hampton's Coffee to savor along with your treat of choice.


Urban Coffee

Offering hot and cold options of some of your favorite drinks, Urban Coffee prepares breakfast, lunch and desserts all day long. Relax away with a selection of board games and a growing lending library. They offer sugar-free and vegan options to meet all tastes and desires. 


Cold Spring Harbor


Sweetie Pies

Bright, cheerful, and always delicious, Sweetie Pies on Main is a charming coffee and pastry shop. Located in the quaint town of Cold Spring Harbor, Sweetie Pies offer delicious espresso drinks, coffee by Georgios, fresh-daily baked goods, soup, lunch items and much more! Great spot to enjoy a cup while sitting out on the deck or out in the garden.


Gourmet Whaler

Gourmet Whaler sells Fairtrade Organic Coffee. When lightly roasted, it has caramel aroma and a very sweet taste, excellent for starting the day. Once medium roasted, it has woody taste and becomes full-bodied. The coffee also gives a pleasant espresso cup that every barista will love. Grab a freshly made scone to enjoy too.


Huntington


Southdown Coffee

The humble spot has attracted coffee enthusiasts from all around who believed that they had to journey to Manhattan to get a truly original and decent cup of coffee. Southdown sources and serves single origin coffees which are roasted at the cafe. They are the only location on Long Island to do this. Their offerings will vary depending on the season but can include beans from Honduras, Brazil and Kenya. Serving egg sandwiches, cookies, and treats from local bakeries. Also find their coffee at Cafe Revue. 


Stella Blue Bistro

Stella Blue proudly serves Deans Beans an organic, certified Fair Trade coffee. From made to order mini doughnuts served hot, to their signature ice cream, Stella Blue prepares the freshest and healthiest foods in town. Located in Huntington Village with plenty of parking available. Woodstock-inspired décor makes stopping by the deli a true experience. 


Northport


Caffe Portofino

Caffe Portofino is a funky little coffee shop in the heart of Northport Village, serving breakfast, soup, salads, paninis, delicious pastries, and more. They are the only full service coffee and smoothie bar. They have a varied selection on their coffee bar everything from cafe au lait to mochas to lattes. So stroll on down to Main Street and enjoy. 


Coopenhagen Bakery

Serving a copy of coffee along with baked goods, breakfast and lunch items. They also have numerous Scandinavian Specialties including Almond Bear Claws and Almond Horns, Kaga, Spandau and more. Their soups are also a great option- potato leek is a favorite and be sure to get some bread for dipping.
