Not traveling this Spring Break? No problem- there's plenty to keep the kids busy during the time off. Beat the boredom and check out one of the great museums and sign up for a great program. There is something to appeal to just about every interest.

Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium- The planetarium and museum will be open during the break. The huge Whale Shark, the mummy and shrunken head are museum favorites. The new planetarium show "A Starry Tale" follows Greek mythology and will be beautiful to see and educational.

Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery- The hatchery is offering tours, feeding demonstrations and live animal encounters and programs throughout the break. Its a great place to learn about water life. Stop by adjacent St. John's pond for a great scenic view.
Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum- The Whaling Museum is offering a build-a-boat workshop and World Explorers Camp during the break. This is also a great museum to stop in to and learn about Cold Spring Harbor's whaling history. The new exhibit "If I were a Whaler..." will be fun for the family.

Heckscher Museum of Art - take the kids to see the Long Island's Best exhibit and let them get inspiration for at-home artwork. Take a stroll around the pond and see the nesting water fowl or play on the playground at Heckscher Park.
Book Revue- meander the incredible selection of books including a wide arrange of area authors. The children's section is great and every Tuesday they offer Toddler Time at 11:00. Stop by Cafe Revue for southdown coffee and a treat from Raquette River Baking Company.
Station Sports Family Fun- open all week for spring break from 11am -8pm. Mini golf, batting cage, and target paintball will keep the kids entertained and it's only minutes from downtown Huntington or the Walt Whitman Shops.

Northsport- a fun basketball camp for boys and girls in grades 3-8. Make sure to take a trip down to the Northport Village for a stroll down main or a stop in one of the two harbor-side parks.
